Fanatec Clubsport wheel GT Rim officially announced

The Fanatec Clubsport wheel craze does not seem to stop. After the unofficial preview of yet another add-on rim for the Fanatec ClubSport Wheel, by German Audi driver Rene Rast, Fanatec now officially announced the wheel we could see in the video. Its called ” GT wheel” and comes with some simple but functional features.

The GT style rim with flattened bottom comes with the already revealed modular button system. With plenty of Sim Racing mobile telemetry apps out there, this rim also features the possibility to mount any smartphone on an optional mobile phone holder. It is not yet clear how this holder is fitted on the wheel base, but time will tell.

While the idea of mounting a smartphone holder on a Sim wheel, is nothing new, the Fanatec GT wheel takes this one step further. The Fanatec design integrates a USB power supply so you can easily charge your phone while driving your favourite Sim.

As with the other add-on wheels, it is stated that the GT wheel will be available this summer for 349,95 Euro / USD (incl. tax / excl. tax)
