iRacing Dirt Announcement Trailer – Sprint Cars at Eldora Speedway
Back in April 2016, iRacing announced that they were planning to add Dirt racing to their sim racing lineup. It is now a year later, and iRacing is getting ready to fulfill their promise and deploy the first part of the most anticipated iRacing release yet.
In partnership with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, iRacing published the official Dirt Racing announcement trailer. On March 29th, the first Dirt related content will make its appearance on the popular online racing service.
The trailer video shows us some fears Dirt Sprint Car action at the Eldora Raceway. It lets us sample the detailed graphics, internal and external sounds, and shows us features such as the Dirt particle system and the adjustable wing on the Sprint Car.
The iRacing development team went to great lengths to implement some game changing Dirt features such as the dynamic surface which physics-wise will move the dirt around the track so that just as in the real world, grooves or ruts will form. Dirt moisture will also a part of the track physics formula.
So far iRacing listed a selection of Dirt series and cars that will become part of the Dirt iRacing class.
On their media outlets, iRacing officially announced 3 Sprint Cars, 3 Late Models, 2 Nascar Camping World trucks, the Dirt street Stock, and Dirt Legends cars. It is not yet clear if some or all currently announced vehicles will be part of the March 29 update.
Sprint Cars
305 Sprint Car, 360 Sprint Car and the 410 Sprint Car.
Late Model
Limited Late Model, Pro Late Model, and the Super Late Model.
Nascar Camping World Trucks
Dirt Chevrolet Silverado, and Dirt Toyota Tundra.

The initial iRacing Dirt announcement also featured a Ford Fiesta Global Rally-Cross car. Besides an early 3D clay render of the Chip Ganassi Ford Fiesta model, no new info is released. We will keep you posted when we receive more news.
