iRacing – NASCAR Xfinity Series Camry available next week

iRacing.com posted a render of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Camry that will become available in next week’s build of the iRacing online racing service.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is a stock car racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). It is promoted as the NASCAR “minor league” circuit and is considered a proving ground for drivers who wish to step up to the organization’s top-level circuit, the Sprint Cup Series.

The Stock cars that are raced in the Xfinity Series are very different from their Sprint Cup Series counterparts, having a slightly shorter wheelbase, 100 pounds less weight, and a less powerful engine. The Xfinity Series Toyota Camry is not exactly what its name suggests, but rather a Camry-shaped shell over a steel tube chassis.
