2015 Audi R18 e-Tron Quattro Testing at Monza
NM225519 and 19Bozzy92 both visited the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and recorded the 2015 Le Mans spec Audi R18 e-Tron Quattro while performing tests in preparation of the 2015 24 hours of Le Mans.
Wehn we compare the car to last years version, It seems to use the same monocoque structure with some new aerodynamic parts, and new headlights. The car also has new drag-reducing air inlets in the front. In 2015 the flywheel design hybrid kinetic energy recovery system of the Audi e-Tron will feeding the electric motor and add 270bhp to the 549bhp 4.0-litre V6 diesel engine by transferring it to the front-axle motor. This year the hybrid kinetic energy recovery system had its output doubled from 2 to 4 megajoules per Le Mans lap.
Audi Sport will enter two R18’s in the FIA World Endurance Championship and a third one at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The number 7 car will be driven by Oliver Jarvis, Lucas di Grassi and Loic Duval, while the nr.8 car will be piloted by Andre Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fassler. The third car in Spa and Le Mans will be driven by Marco Bonanomi, Rene Rast and Filipe Albuquerque.
