2015 Corvette Daytona Prototype coming to rFactor 2
Image Space Incorporated have secured a 2015 Corvette Daytona Prototype licence for their rFactor 2 simulator. The ISI development team is working hard to get the model ready and already shared two clay render screens of the work in progress.
The Pratt & Miller Engineering Corvette DP is competing in the North American TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. The car was first introduced in 2012 and has since been very successful. During the 2014 championship, the Chevrolet Corvette DPs won six out of eleven races and took the top three positions in both the Prototype Driver and Team championships.
For the 2015 season and in contrast to the previous C6-based design, the carbon-fiber bodywork was updated to mimic styling cues of the C7 Corvette Stingray production car. This cosmetic change has turned it into the best-looking Daytona Prototype in our humble opinion. The 2015 Corvette Daytona Prototype is powered by a 560 hp strong purpose-built 5.5-liter Chevrolet LS9 V-8 engine developed by ECR Engines.
