2016 iRacing World Championship GP Series coming to Motors TV
The iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series features the world’s most elite road sim-racers competing head-to-head for a total cash prize pool of over $15,000.
After 5 years of competition in the virtual Williams FW1, the iRacing Pro contenders will now compete on simulated versions of the actual real-world tracks in the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 as used in the 2015 Formula 1 Season. With advanced technologies like ERS and DRS systems, the McLaren will no doubt change the dynamic of this World Championship Series.
The 2016 iRacing World Championship GP Series is run every other Saturday starting February 27th at 14:00 GMT (9AM ET). As before, each round of the World Championship will be broadcasted LIVE to the general public on iRacing.com/live, with coverage and commentators provided by RaceSpot TV.
Besides the LIVE internet broadcasts by RaceSpot TV, iRacing also announced that the 2016 iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series will make its debut on real world television. In partnership with RaceSpot, and with Apex Racing TV, the 2016 IWCGP Series will become part of the Motors TV programming.
The official Broadcast details and schedule will be announced later on. The Live broadcasts of the WC Grand Prix Series will remain exclusively on iRacing.com/live.
