Good

  • Around 50% more powerful than the T300 base
  • Better small details compared to the T300 base
  • Larger Range of FFB detail over the T300 base
  • Formula Rim is very comfortable to drive with
  • Formula Rim adds to immersion and feels precise to drive with
  • Formula Rim has a nice suede finish on the handles
  • Much better cooling than T300
  • Higher resolution rotational sensor than T300
  • More than enough torque to accurately capture steering feel of road cars

Bad

  • £500 at launch makes this wheel rather expensive relative to the excellent price of the T300
  • Formula Rim looks a bit cheap
  • Formula Rim central buttons might be hard to reach for small hands
  • Formula Rim is a bit sharp on the top edge and can cut vegetables
  • Table clamp is somewhat finicky
  • Quick release screw requires the use of a screwdriver to remove and swap rims

The TS-PC Racer Force Feedback wheel is powered by a new 40-watt motor that will provide the Force Feedback system with dynamic torque which results in a better response and more powerful effects. To keep the TS-PC Racer from overheating or power loss, Thrustmaster designed a brand new high-quality low-noise cooling system called “Motor Cooling Embedded” or MCE.

The TS-PC Racer is fully compatible with the entire Thrustmaster racing ecosystem which enables you to fit a selection of already existing Thrustmaster wheel rims to the system. The pictured new Open wheeler style rim features suede grips and a set of wheel-mounted brushed aluminum paddle shifters. The wheel is fitted with six push buttons, a D-pad, and a 3-position push-able rotary encoder.  The wheel rotation will be adjustable between 270 and 1080 degrees.

Last but not least, the new Thrustmaster wheel makes use of an external power supply that is specially designed to provide continuous power and a phenomenal peak power (400 watts).

The new TS-PC Racer Force Feedback wheel is available at a suggested retail price of €549.99 / $499.99 (taxes included).
