Pimax 5K Plus – First impressions By GamerMuscle

Sim Racer, YouTuber, and part-time comedian GamerMuscle continues his quest researching the PC VR headset market for sim racers.

After a successful Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign raising  $4,236,618 back in 2017, Pimax set out to deliver affordable 200-degree FoV VR HMD’s which should also solve the problem of screen door effect and motion sickness. And so they did. In 2018, the Pimax 8K and the Pimax 5K Plus were finally delivered to the first Kickstarter backers.

Now GamerMuscle got his hands on a Pimax 5K Plus Virtual Reality headset. So its time to find out how this much-hyped Ultrawide VR HMD performs when used for sim racing.

The Pimax 5K Plus is advertised via the official Pimax website for $699.00, while retail channels seem to offer the product for an average of $799.00 + shipping.
