Italians are often trendsetters when it comes to design, and styling. While this is very obvious in the fashion and automotive world, the same can also be said for Italian made sim racing hardware.

That brings us to the RES-TECH X1 Simulator project.

RES-TECH is working on a great looking racing simulator chassis made out of a lightweight yet very rigid aluminum alloy spaceframe. The entire structure which weights only 40 Kg, is build up out of 10 components that can be assembled in about 20 minutes, using only one Allen key tool.

The formula-style chassis with integrated adjustable screen mount is equipped with a stylish racing seat made out of Carbon fiber and luxury padding.

The chassis features an adjustable center-mounted Steering column. Both the steering and pedal mount are easily adjustable. The use of big square tubing structured in separate parts leaves plenty of opportunity for very tidy cable management resulting in a very clean looking setup.

At the time of writing, the RES-TECH X1 was still a WIP prototype, but if all goes as planned, RES-TECH will soon introduce the product via the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.

I will keep you posted when more news becomes available.
