Reiza Studios has officially announced that they have secured a new licensing deal to bring several cars from the French Alpine car manufacturer to Automobiilista 2.
The first car to be released will be the Alpine A424 LMDh which will become available as part of the upcoming Endurance Car Pack Pt2, alongside the AMS2 V1.6 release. At the time of writing, Reiza did not yet confirm the other Alpine models that are in the pipeline.
The Alpine A424 is a LMDh (Le Mans Daytona hybrid) sports prototype racing car designed and built to comply with the strict LMDh regulations to compete in top-tier 24-hour races and other endurance championships such as the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
The car is built on the “next generation” Oreca LMP2 chassis and is powered by a heavily modified version of the Mecachrome V634 engine as used in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, combined with a Rear-mounted 50 kW (68 PS; 67 hp) spec MGU supplied by Bosch. The powertrain roughly delivers 500 kW (680 PS; 671 hp).
