Asetek – Invicta Formula Button Box Revealed

Asetek - Invicta Formula Button Box Revealed

Danish Sim Racing peripheral manufacturer Asetek Sim Sports introduced its new flagship Invicta Formula Button Box.

While named a button box, the unit is in essence the bulk of a 300mm steering wheel with exchangeable handles, (Regular Handles, XL Handles, LMP Handles, and Suede Handles), paddle shifters (6 paddle standard, or 6 paddle forged carbon), various faceplate materials, a choice of colors for the buttons and encoders.

To make choices as easy as possible, Asetek has created an online wheel configurator allowing the customer to effortlessly preview every adjustment in real time.

The lightweight wheel hub is built from a solid block of aluminum with a carbon fiber front plate. The wheel features a 4.3″ 800×480 resolution, 60Hz LCD display that provides the usual telemetry data. On top of the screen, we find a 15 LED Rev bar, and 6 additional customizable LEDs. Three on each side.

The screen content can be customized using different dashboards via RaceHub or SimHub.

Note: Asetek has stated they will provide a touchscreen solution in the near future.

The wheel features 12 buttons (10 illuminated on the front, 2 on the back), 3 rotary switches, 6 thumb encoders, and 2 rocker switches, boosting 144 individual input options.

The button illumination has a number of functions. They can be configured with different color settings for pressed and unpressed states. Furthermore, the light can act as a proximity warning, and ABS activation indicator.

While Asetek provides a quick release for their in-house wheelbases, the wheel rim can also be used with third-party wheelbases via a 70x6mm mounting pattern. On third-party wheelbases, the electronics can be connected to your PC via a standard USB connection.

Depending on your choices in the configurator, the price starts at 1.562,49 € + shipping.
