Assetto Corsa – Better Sounds coming to V1.9
Luca Sordano, who is the Sound Designer and Official Technical Support officer at Kunos Simulazioni, published a new preview video that lets us sample some of the sound updates that will be featured in the upcoming V1.9 Assetto Corsa build.
The Assetto Corsa racing simulator makes use of the FMOD sound effects engine developed by Firelight Technologies. To demonstrate the latest Fmod sound improvements, Luca recorded some onboard and replay camera footage of the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 racing on the laser scanned Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. The race featured 23 AI cars and showed a potential for further improvements as the Fmod Usage averaged out at 15%, with a peak of 24%.
Keep in mind that the video was recorded using a 5.1 speakers configuration and was converted to a stereo mix when uploaded to Youtube.
