Assetto Corsa Blackwood v0.9.7 Released
Assetto Corsa is rapidly becoming the nr.1 platform for modding. A vast number of modding teams are working on a car project. On the track side however, the platform is already flooded with conversions. While most track conversion are created from existing rFactor mods, there are a few projects out there that can be called “different”.
One of these projects is the fictional Blackwood Circuit that is originally a part of the Live for Speed simulator by Scawen Roberts, Eric Bailey, and Victor van Vlaardingen. The conversion is being done by Tiago Lima who was granted permission by the Live For Speed Dev Team. Its rather uncommon for a commercial project to grand permission for cross-platform conversions. That said, Tiago Lima has done a fabulous job so far, and shows us how good the original LFS tracks actually are.
You can download the Assetto Corsa Blackwood track 0.9.70.9.7 at the RaceDepartment.com website.
Assetto Corsa is being designed to provide a very realistic driving experience, with single player and multiplayer options, officially licensed cars and tracks developed using Laser scan technology, and the highest level of accuracy possible in reproducing real world motor racing environments. Also, Assetto Corsa will allow for considerable customisation and modification, in order to satisfy the expectations of professional sim racers, gamers who prefer to approach the driving experience more progressively, and hobbyists who just like to collect lots of cars and tracks.
