In a regular car, the suspension system affects both the driver’s control of the car and the comfort of the driver.

However, besides the same basic function as a road car, a racing car suspension is all about maximizing performance, as the adjustable dampers or shock absorbers also have a huge impact on the mechanical grip, control of the weight transfer, braking behavior, cornering ability, and most importantly maintain contact between the tyre and the road surface.
