As we are getting closer to the release of the GT2 Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione, Kunos Simulazioni, and 505 Games published a new DLC promo trailer showcasing the Maserati MC20 GT2 racing car.
First teased in July of this year, the GT2 Pack DLC is supposed to include the SRO Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship, being the Audi R8 LMS GT2, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo GT2, KTM X-BOW GT2, Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, Mercedes AMG GT2, and the Maserati MC20 GT2. Ah yes… Then there is also the Brabham BT63 GT2 that raced in the 2022 invitational class.
Kunos Simulazioni already confirmed that alongside the aforementioned SRO Fanatec GT2 European Series, also the Porsche 935 Tribute car and the 911 GT2 RS CS EVO Kit will be part of the DLC. The GT2 Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione including the Maserati MC20 GT2 will be available in January 2024.
Maserati MC20 GT2:
The Maserati MC20 GT2 is a high-performance racing car based on the road-going Maserati MC20. The car was first unveiled in June 2023 and made its racing debut in October 2023. Currently, the MC20 GT2 is competing in the Fanatec GT2 European Series.
It is powered by a 3.0L V6 twin-turbo 90° Nettuno engine that produces 620 horsepower / 730 Nm torque transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The MC20 GT2 also features a number of aerodynamic enhancements, including a quick-release removable bodywork, an extended front splitter, a fully flat floor, an adjustable rear wing, side skirts, and an aggressive rear diffuser.
A new suspension geometry has been developed. The suspension springs, dampers, and antiroll bars are all specific to the Maserati GT2 and can be fully adjusted and tuned up for every track environment.
