The release of the upcoming GT2 Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione is getting closer, so Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games published a new teaser video introducing the Mercedes-AMG GT2 which will be part of the pack.
First teased in July of this year, the GT2 Pack DLC is supposed to include the SRO Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship, being the Audi R8 LMS GT2, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo GT2, KTM X-BOW GT2, Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, Mercedes AMG GT2, and the Maserati MC20 GT2. Then there is also the Brabham BT63 GT2 that raced in the 2022 invitational class.
Kunos Simulazioni already confirmed that alongside the aforementioned SRO Fanatec GT2 European Series, also the Porsche 935 Tribute car and the 911 GT2 RS CS EVO Kit will be part of the DLC. The GT2 Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione including the Maserati MC20 GT2 will be available in January 2024.
Mercedes-AMG GT2:
The Mercedes-AMG GT2 is a high-performance race car racing car developed by Mercedes-AMG for their Customer Racing program. It was built specifically complying with the technical GT2 regulations of the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) and particularly aimed at ambitious amateur drivers.
Both the power and top speed of the new race car rank above the GT3 level. It is the most powerful homologated race car in the history of the program, with a maximum power output of up to 520 kW (707 hp).
The car is powered by an AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine which is optimized for motorsport use. It is fitted with a sequential six-speed racing gearbox with modified gear ratios. The transmission is mounted on the rear axle in a transaxle configuration and drives the rear wheels via a torque tube of carbon-fiber-enforced plastic (CFK).
Furthermore, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 uses a carbon fiber monocoque and a number of other lightweight materials to keep the weight down. It features a large front splitter, a rear wing, and diffuser, fully adjustable suspension, and large, carbon ceramic brakes.
