Assetto Corsa Competizione GT4 Pack DLC – Mercedes AMG GT4 & Audi R8 LMS GT4

The initial version of the Assetto Corsa Competizione racing simulator was branded as the official game of the Blancpain GT Series, and later on, rebranded as the Official GT World Challenge game.

ACC started out as allowing players to experience the real atmosphere of the Blancpain FIA GT3 homologated championship, including all official drivers, teams, cars, and circuits of the series. When the organizer SRO lost its title sponsor at the end of 2019, the series was extended and rebranded as the GT World Challenge. Therefore, also Assetto Corsa Competizione became known as the official GT World Challenge game.

In February 2020, developer Kunos Simulazioni and publisher 505Games released the paid (SRO) Intercontinental GT Pack DLC, expanding ACC by adding car liveries, and the Bathurst, Laguna Seca, Kyalami, and Suzuka circuits which are raced on in the aforementioned championship.

But there was more to come. The Italian developer already announced that ACC would be expanded even further with a paid GT4 Pack DLC, and a paid British GT Pack DLC. The ACC GT4 Pack DLC will become available for PC in July of this year, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions will become available in the fall of 2020. The  British GT Pack DLC planned for a winter release and will offer 3 new iconic circuits that complete the 7-race calendar of the British GT Championship.

In the past few weeks, Kunos Simulazione already teased us with previews of the BMW M4 GT4, KTM X-Bow GT4, and the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport as part of the upcoming GT4 DLC. Today Kunos revealed two more cars for the ACC GT4 Pack DLC.

Let’s have a look at the Mercedes AMG GT4 and Audi R8 LMS GT4 which are the 4th and 5th car model of the 11 new cars that will be part of the ACC GT4 Pack DLC.  6 more to go.

In 2017, Mercedes introduced the AMG GT4 as a customer racing car compliant to FIA GT4 rules. The ‘little brother’ of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 advanced to one of the most successful cars in the booming GT4 segment worldwide. So far, the performance and sports car brand from Affalterbach has delivered more than 120 examples of the race car to Customer Racing Teams all over the world. The Mercedes-AMG GT4 is powered by a front-mid placed 4.0-liter V8 engine with direct injection and biturbo charging.

The Audi R8 LMS GT4 is a fast and reliable entry-level GT race car and it is equally popular amongst amateur and gentleman drivers. After two full seasons of racing with customers achieving race victories and titles worldwide, the GT4 race car from the brand with the four rings has been updated for the 2020 season onwards and seamlessly reflects the new look of the R8 family. The Audi R8 LMS GT4 is powered by a 5,200 cc Normally aspirated V10 engine that can deliver up to 495 hp.

The ACC GT4 Pack DLC will become available on July 15th on Windows PC (Steam). The console version is scheduled for a fall 2020 release.
