Assetto Corsa Competizione New Audi R8 LMS Preview
Yesterday we reported that Kunos Simulazioni will soon release a new update bringing the Assetto Corsa Competizione title to Version 1.0.
Even better, it was confirmed that the update will also introduce no less than 6 new car models and one brand new track. Together with the announcement, Kunos released the first new car preview showcasing the Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
As expected, today Kunos revealed the second car on the list. Have a look at the new Audi R8 LMS. I guess we can expect a preview of the third car somewhere tomorrow.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is currently available on Steam for €44,99.
The all-conquering Audi R8 LMS was an absolute protagonist of the 2018 BLANCPAIN GT SERIES season. It might not have won the championship, but the number of wins, podiums, pole positions, best laps, and sheer presence on the grid was clear proof of its competitiveness.
Audi probably thought that this wasn’t enough and so for 2019 tried to improve every single aspect of the car, presenting the Audi R8 LMS EVO version. Better aerodynamics, improvements in the suspension, chassis, and electronics.
On the other side, the organization probably thought that it had to balance out with the other cars, so extra weight was added by the Balance of Performance. The Audi still managed to be competitive but rumors arose regarding the heavy rear end and pointy nose that made drivers uncomfortable. Are the rumours true? You can be the judge!
