Assetto Corsa Competizione - Nürburgring 24hr Pack DLC Coming To Consoles On May 2nd

Back in July 2023, the SRO Motorsports Group and the German ADAC announced a partnership that makes the 2024 ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring, a round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli.

In November of the same year, Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games shared the news many ACC players were waiting for, officially confirming that the Nürburgring Nordschleife was coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione.

At the start of this month, Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games released the iconic German circuit for the PC version of Assetto Corsa Competizione, alongside update V1.10. Now they have officially announced that the console versions of the Nürburgring 24hr Pack DLC are to be released on Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 on May 2nd, 2024.

Nürburgring Nordschleife

The Nürburgring Nordschleife, also known as the Nürburgring North Loop or simply the Nordschleife, is a 20.832 km-long (12.944 mi) motorsports circuit located in the Eifel mountains region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is part of the Nürburgring complex, which also includes a shorter Grand Prix circuit. The Nordschleife is known for its challenging layout, with 73 corners and a significant elevation change. It is widely considered to be one of the most demanding and dangerous race tracks in the world.

The Nordschleife was originally built in the 1920s as a public road, but it was soon converted into a race track. It has hosted a variety of motorsport events over the years, including the Formula One German Grand Prix from 1951 to 1976. The Nordschleife is also a popular destination for tourist drives, and it is estimated that over 200,000 vehicles lap the track each year.

The Nordschleife is known for its nickname, “The Green Hell”, which is a reference to its challenging layout, dense forests, and unpredictable weather conditions. The track is also known for its long straights, such as the Döttinger Höhe and the Pflanzgarten, which allow cars to reach extremely high speeds. Drivers who can master the track can experience a unique thrill that is not found on any other circuit in the world.
