Assetto Corsa Corvette C7.R Preview renders
Kunos Simulazioni released new preview renders of the upcoming Corvette C7.R for Assetto Corsa. The interesting part is that the official Kunos licenced model is being created by the UnitedRacingDesign modding group.
While yours truly has always been a strong opponent to pay modding and the repercussions of it, and therefore had a few fierce discussions with UnitedRacingDesign in the past, we are exited to see the teams talent pay off in the commercial Development world. After doing some work for Slightly Mad Studio’s and now Kunos Simulazioni it seems their goals are reached. Let’s hope we see more official work appear in the near future.
The Chevrolet Corvette C7.R is powered by a 5.5-liter naturally-aspirated dry-sump V-8 and six-speed sequential transmission that is mounted into an aluminum frame. The double wishbone suspension and carbon-ceramic discs have to keep the car on the tarmac. The car competes in the American Tudor United Sportscar Championship and complies to the mandatory “Balance of Performance” formula used in the series. Corvette Motorsport also has a wildcard entree for the Le Mans 24 and will represent the American GT colors during the race.
