Assetto Corsa Early Access V.0.85 released (incl. Lotus Evora GTC/GX)

Kunos Simulazioni released Early Access V.0.85 of their Assetto Corsa Simulator. A new update sometimes means a new car to drive. As teased in the last few days, the Lotus Evora GTC/GX joins the GT class of Assetto Corsa.

Lotus developed the GTC Evora as an advanced version of the Evora GT4 Enduro car and is to be used exclusively on the racing track. This racer was licensed to race in the GRAND-AM GX, British GT Championship, VdeV Series, Supercar Challenge , and Creventic Endurance Races. Powered by a naturally aspired 3.8 litre Cosworth SQ6 ECU engine that is mid mounted this Lotus Evora GT delivers a maximum power of 440 bhp at 7000 rpm and a Maximum Torque 460 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The power is transferred to the rear wheel by a Xtrac 6 speed sequential gearbox. The total weight of the car is 1,170 kg.

The GX version of this Lotus Evora is aimed at the American market and includes the specific requirement to fit into the Grand Am race series ( Now combined with the ALMS into the new TUDOR United SportsCar Championship). With this Lotus Evora GTC/GX, Assetto Corsa features another stunning GT car to join the already impressive line up.

Another new feature implemented in this update is the ability to experience a full race weekend. As expected, the Kunos Dev team worked some more on smoothing out the AI behavior, and added a Fuel/lap prediction feature. Aside from these add-ons, the update also features a list of fixes and improvements such as CPU occupancy and framerate optimisations.
