Assetto Corsa Ferrari 288 GTO Mod Beta 1.01 Released
GTOfire released Beta V1.01 of his Ferrari 288 GTO for Assetto Corsa. GTOfire also included a Skin template + FBX download for skinning purposes.
With the Ferrari license obtained by Kunos Simulazioni, we are wondering if there isn’t an official version of the 288 GTO in the pipline.
Known issues:
- No LOD B/C yet, LOD_A is within budget so hopefully performance should be at least reasonable.
- No Ambient Occlusion yet, my textures are mediocre at best. I’m awaiting upgrades by Flat-Twin.
- No custom sounds. Custom sounds were in progress but with weeks of no reply from the creator I fear they’ve been abandoned. The car uses the stock F40 sound now.

The Ferrari 288 GTO a variation of the Ferrari 308 GTB that has been produced between 1984 and 1987. The mid-engined, rear wheel drive Ferrari 288 GTO was powered by a 2.8 litre V8 engine with twin IHI turbochargers, inter-coolers, and Weber-Marelli fuel injection.
The engine produced 400 hp (298 kW) and 366 lb·ft (496 N·m) of torque. This propelled the car from 0-60 mph in a good 5 seconds and giving it a top speed of 189 mph (304 km/h).
