Assetto Corsa – First Praga R1 Teasers

Kunos Simulazioni has been dominating the sim racing news scene lately. It seems we are getting bombarded with new announcements on a weekly basis, and it does not seem to stop.

Today, Licensing Project Manager Marco Massarutto has posted the first two teaser screenshots of the upcoming Praga R1 sportscar for Assetto Corsa. (pictures above)

The Praga R1 is a sportscar manufactured by Praga Racing who are based in Prague, Czech Republic.  This race ready customer track car has a full carbon body and a honeycomb composite monocoque that successfully passed the FIA crash tests. The car features race-specific safety equipment such as an integrated fire extinguisher system, HANS system support, helmet side support, and six-point seat belts.

The Praga R1 is powered by a RenaultSport derived 2.0L 4-cylinder engine delivering 210 hp to the rear wheels via a Hewland JFR, sequential six-speed transmission. Weighing only 572kg, the R1 has a power to weight ratio of 356 hp/ton. Besides the R1, Praga also developed the Praga R1S delivering 235bhp and the Praga R1T which is powered by a Renault F4R 832 Turbo engine that pumps out 340bhp.
