Assetto Corsa – Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Trailer

Two days ago, Kunos Simulazioni released the Bonus Pack 3 for Assetto Corsa free of charge. It was their way of saying thanks to the Assetto Corsa community members for their loyal support.

The free DLC did not only include seven stunning car models but also featured a highly detailed laser-scanned version of the Laguna Seca Raceway track.

In good Kunos fashion, they now released a cinematic trailer showcasing their digital version of the famous North American race track.

Console users should keep in mind that for now, the Bonus Pack 3 is only available for the PC version of Assetto Corsa. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the DLC will be released as soon as possible.

Laguna Seca Raceway

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, previously known as Laguna Seca Raceway) is a paved road racing track used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, originally constructed in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, USA.

The current racetrack is 2.238 miles (3.602 km) in length with a 180 feet (55 m) elevation change.
It has eleven turns, including the famous “Corkscrew” at Turns 8 and 8A. A variety of racing, exhibition, and entertainment events are held at the raceway, ranging from superkarts to American Le Mans racing to music festivals.

The name Laguna Seca is Spanish for “dry lake”. The area where the track is was originally a lake. The course was originally built around the lake, which has since dried up entirely. An artificial pond has since been added. Major events each year include the Monterey Sports Car Championships (WeatherTech SportsCar Championship), and the Monterey Historics for classic racecars.
