Assetto Corsa – More DRM Revival Mod previews
This time, DRM Modding Team member and 3D artist Jo Benevelli shared some new exciting preview screenshots of the upcoming DRM Revival mod for Assetto Corsa. The in-game captures show us one more picture of the Kremer Porsche 935 K3 and two Facetti/Finotto 308 Carma snapshots.
The 1981 Carma FF (CARloFacetti and MArtino Finotto) Gr5/IMSA GTX Special Production Car was based on the 3 liter Ferrari 308 GTB. The car was developed by 1979 European Touring Car Championship Martino Finotto and ex-works Alfa driver and a skilled engineer Carlo Facetti. The restricted Carma FF Twin Turbo produced 700-hp and reached a top speed of 290 km/h. With unlimited full boost pressure, the engine could be cranked up to 840 Hp making it reach the magical 400 km/h. Back in the day, the one-off Special Carma FF attracted a lot of attention but could not really deliver the results.
Besides the officially announced DRM Revival content, Jo Benevelli is also working on a few other 3D models that might become part of the mod later on. (Just speculating) Below you can admire some WIP shots of the Porsche 935/77A, Schnitzer 320i turbo, and the world famous 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR Turbo.
The DRM Revival Mod will recreate the fast and spectacular DRM Cars that were raced from 1972 to 1985. The mod for Assetto Corsa is scheduled to be released in Q1 2017. If all goes as planned the initial release should feature the Porsche 935 K3, Porsche 935 k1, BMW 2002 Turbo, BMW 320S, BMW M1 Turbo, Zakspeed Escort, Zakspeed Capri Turbo, Lancia Beta Turbo, Toyota Celica LB Turbo and the Facetti/Finotto 308 Carma.
