Assetto Corsa Multiplayer slight delay
Last week the supposed to be released Assetto Corsa update was postponed due to the national Liberation Day holiday in Italy. The Kunos Simulazioni development team explained that they would have not been able to guaranty a good level of support. A very sensible decision in our opinion.
As we all know, sometimes things don’t work out as we want, and such was also the case for the Assetto Corsa Development team. Stefano Casillo tweeted the community about a problem with the AC code and confirmed that the multiplayer update will have to be postponed, and that it will probably be ready later this weekend. While implementing the multiplayer code, something went wrong with the Single Player part of the simulator. The Development team decided that some further testing is needed to make sure the problem is ironed out.
This may trigger some disappointment within the Sim Racing community, but it has to be said that we can only applaud the commitment of Kunos Simulazioni to keep on working hard to bring us the best possible product. We wish the team the best of luck hunting down the bug.

Dear AC followers, we are encountering an unknown and unpredictable issue that causes random crashes with single-player race events, probably due to some additional implementations that single-player thread shares with the multiplayer build. We are working to identify the cause and to solve it, but we can’t commit the new build within today. We apologise for this inconvenient, we’ll keep you informed as soon as our development team will be able to make the new build available, hopefully within tomorrow.
Thank you for your patience and your kind support.

For those who want to have a look at the Multiplayer part of the Menu, Kunos Simulazioni also posted an Assetto Corsa multiplayer animated gif to explain the ins and outs of the workings of the Multiplayer interface. The Walktough is also available as a PDF File.
