Assetto Corsa – New Mazda 787B previews

AssiPazz has posted a new set of in-game preview screens showcasing his Mazda 787B mod project for Assetto Corsa. The previews show us the car both on the track, and in the pitlane. The Group C car is painted in the Green/Orange Japanese clothing manufacturer Renown livery. Furthermore we can also have a little peek in the cockpit of the beast.

The group C Mazda 787B was introduced a year after the last race of the Sauber Mercedes C9 that is also coming to Assetto Corsa. Lets hope we see even more Group C machinery appear in AC in the near future.

The Mazda 787B was a Group C sports prototype engineered to compete in the World Sportscar Championship, All Japan Sports Prototype Championship and the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1990 and 1991. The 787B weighed 831 kg. It had a 2622 ccm 4-rotor 26B Wankel engine, mid-mounted with RWD and a 5 speed manual transmission. The Wankel had a whopping 700 HP@ 9000 RPM with 620 LB FT of torque.
