Assetto Corsa – new post-processing effects coming
In the next update of Assetto Corsa, the Kunos Simulazioni Dev team will implement a feature that will enable you to change the settings of the post-processing effects.
Initially, players will be able to select 6 different presets. Creative users will be able to set up there own post-processing presets by tinkering with the value’s of the Lens flare, God-rays, Heat shimmering, Tone mapping, Glare, Exposure, Depth of field, Chromatic aberration, Vignetting, Lens distortion, Color and Saturation.
The above screenshot shows you the differences between the six presets that will be provided in the next release of Assetto Corsa. While the performance of AC is on par with most competing titles, you may want to keep in mind that setting up different post processing presets might have an effect on your frame-rate. That said, this is a nice feature that gives us the opportunity to set up the visuals according to our own preferences. As we all know, in the Sim Racing scene, no two opinions seem to be the same.
This week Kunos Simulazioni announced that the release candidate of Assetto Corsa is as good as ready, and if al goes well, we will see V1.0 appear pretty soon now.
