Assetto Corsa Porsche 911 GTA progress – by PM3DM

With the Assetto Corsa Porsche pack DLC release dominating the sim racing news scene the last few days, we would almost forget there is more free Porsche content coming to the Kunos Racing simulator

Talented modeler Patrik Marek (PM3DM) is still hard at work to bring his stunning Porsche 911 GTA model up to specs. The Porsche GT America will be part of the IER Modding Group’s United SportsCar Championship mod for Assetto Corsa. Some people speculated that this car model might end up as an official license within the Porsche DLC, but as far as we know this is currently not the case.

Recently Patrik updated the rim models and started work on the blurred rim and brake disks edit. (top screenshot) Furthermore, some community members are already working on some authentic IMSA United SportsCar liveries.

Once the Porsche GTA is released, Patric will start working on a GT3 Cup version of the car.  While the USCC Porsche GTA physics are created by the IER team, Patrik might have a go to create the GT3 Cup version physics in-house.

For the moment there is no official release date scheduled, but Patrik still aims to have the car ready by the end of this year. If not, it will certainly be worth the wait.
