Assetto Corsa track editor and update 0.15 released
Kunos Simulazioni released update 0.15 for the Assetto Corsa Early Access version. It is a big day for the modding community as Kunos Simulazioni included the first part of the Assetto Corsa modding tools. The Assetto Corsa track editor will enable modders to create their own 3rd party tracks, and bring them in-game.
While initially scheduled to be included in Assetto Corsa 1.0, the development team decided to release the Assetto Corsa track editor in advance. This way modders can get used to the workflow of the track creation process. The Assetto Corsa SDK is available for download in the Steam Library > Tools \ Tab, and includes a free sample track for training and testing.
You might also find some useful modding information at the official Assetto Corsa support forum:
As usual, the update also brings us a small selection of fixes and improvements.
Kunos Simulazioni specifically states that they are exited to see 3rd party tracks coming to Assetto Corsa, but that conversions of original content taken from other games are not welcomed. On the official support forum and its sub-forums threads about original content conversions will be locked ASAP.
