AussieStig Visited Evotek Engineering In Maranello, Italy

Sim Racing community member AussieStig visited the Evotek Engineering Simulator company in Maranello, Italy.

Besides having the opportunity to visit the production facilities, AussieStig also had the chance to try out some of the simulator rigs in the newly opened Evotec Engineering race centre.

The Evotek Sym 026 chassis is the first F1 simulator model designed and built entirely by Evotek Engineering.The Evotek Sym 026 is powered by a custom version of Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa Simulator Software.

The Sym 026 was first presented in 2011 and is installed at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and at the “Mito Ferrari” Italian Center of Shanghai Expo Park in China. Units were also exported to private clients in Italy, Switzerland, Russia, Colombia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Mexico, Turkey and the United States. 

At the end of 2014, after three years of hardware and software development, the new Evotek Sym 027 model had been presented in conjunction with the arrival of the new software platform Assetto Corsa on Steam.

The Evotek Sym Club Edition that was designed to be used in Racing Center’s and the Evotek Sym 027 are the two models currently in production. In comparison to the Sym 026 chassis, they are completely updated with new materials, hardware and software.

• Logitech 5+1 Audio System integrated in the shell, with individually balanced outputs.

• Decomposable Shell entirely realised in Carbon Fibre. With arrangement for Gseat (15 kg).
• Motion Module: Evotek F1 Motion System in sand molten aluminium.
• Evotek F1 Active Seatbelts System Module.
• Hydraulic and Adjustable Steel F1 Pedals (160 mm stroke).
• Integrated Steering Group (Max Couple 15 Nm, complete shielding, set up in the inside cockpit).
• Steering wheel with active keys and throttles, Club Edition Model.
• Carbon Fibre Seat.
• Double module vibration transducers (broadband vibration scope).
• Logitech 5+1 or Bose (optional) Audio System.
