Automobilista Returns To Steam with Build v0.8.9r

On March 29, Reiza Studios had to remove their Automobilista Early Access title from the Steam Online Marketplace due to a copyright infringement claim by an unnamed third party.

Up and till today, Reiza Studios has not yet communicated the origin of the copyright claim and/or content breach, but it is most likely that the claim was filed by the FOM ( Formula One Group) who are responsible for the promotion of the FIA Formula One World Championship and exploitation of the sport’s commercial rights. Keep in mind that all of this is speculation, and has not yet been confirmed by Reiza Studios or any other party.

So now on to the good news! After a temporary withdrawal, Automobilista is back on Steam and available for download. Reiza Studios has deployed Build v0.8.9r which includes Force Feedback and AI updates, and a large set of repainted skins for several fictional series.

As many sim racers out there, we are very pleased to see Reiza’s exciting racing title return to the sim racing community. Automobilista by Reiza Studios is available at the dedicated Steam store page.

Build v0.8.9r Changelog:

• Added new controller / FFB recovery mechanism in attempt to rectify occasional loss of functionality in between sessions
• Added extra information & reprofiled dashboard displays to better represent real counterparts (for Lancer Cup, Marcas, F-Extreme, Metalmoro MR18 – remaining cars to be updated in the following update)
• Repainted skins for several fictional series
• Goiania: Updated AI
• Marcas: Updated external sounds
