First announced in June, Studio 397 has now confirmed that the Bahrain International Circuit will be added to the rFactor 2 official track portfolio.
The virtual Bahrain International Circuit will host Round 1 of the 22/23 Le Mans Virtual Series, with qualifying taking place on Friday 16th September, and the race the following day on Saturday 17th September.
Le Mans Virtual Series Championship Schedule:
- Round 1: 17 September 2022 – 8 Hours of Bahrain
- Round 2: 8 October 2022 – 4 Hours of Monza
- Round 3: 5 November 2022 – 6 Hours of Spa
- Round 4: 3 December 2022 – 500 Miles of Sebring
- Round 5: 14/15 January 2023 – 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual
The Bahrain International Circuit opened in 2004 and is used for a variety of Motorsports events. The 5.412 km track has an FIA Grade 1 license, and is most famous for its annual Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix, but has also hosted many other forms of racing events like the GP2 Series, Formula 3, the FIA GT Series, Australian V8 Supercars, and of course the FIA World Endurance Championship.
