In the USA, the day after Thanksgiving is famous for its Black Friday Sales. Since the early 2000s, it has been regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. The last few years Black Friday even spread beyond the American borders.
For bargain hunters, it is the biggest shopping festival of the year.
As every year, I had a look at the sim racing market to check out the bargains for Sim Racing enthusiasts during this Black Friday weekend. Should I have missed out on some interesting deals, just let me know in the comments section, so I can update the list below.
This year, I have noticed a shift in attitude towards the Black Friday deals. A number of brands and retailers out there decided not to take part in this year’s BF sales, or have chosen to minimise the offers. Also, many Black Friday sales were announced later then usual.
While many of the established brands and well-known names in the industry still provide you with very interesting discounts, free extras, or bundles, it is safe to say that looking at some more obscure offerings, things are not always what they seem to be.
I have come across a number of anomalies, such as Black Friday prices that were higher than the regular price. Black Friday announcements with no actual promo of any sort. Announced deals with no stock, and no chance to order at the promo price, and many Promo pricing without listing the normal price. In those cases, it was anyone’s guess to find out if the bargains were worthwhile. Needless to say, I have chosen not to list these dubious offerings in the list below.
!!! Please note that the deals, discounts, and sale prices listed, represent the numbers as they were published by the respective brands and retailers at the time of writing. Keep in mind that a brand or reseller may modify the duration of the sale, its products, its prices, and stock. So make sure to double-check the availability and pricing.
