Black Friday. For bargain hunters, it is the biggest shopping festival of the year. For Sim Racing enthusiasts it should have been the same…
However, looking at this year’s offers, it becomes clear that Black Friday is starting to lose its purpose. Besides a handful of great bargains, most deals I have come across were less than interesting. This could be partly to blame on the current economic state of the world, and the decline of last year’s Sim Racing hype. Whatever the reason, let’s hope the good Black Friday times will return one day.
More than last year, various brands and retailers have decided not to take part in this year’s Black Friday sales, or have chosen to minimize their offers. All in all, I see around 60% fewer promo offers, compared to last year’s offerings.
While many of the established brands and well-known names in the industry still provide you with very interesting discounts, free extras, or bundles, I once more have come across a number of anomalies, such as Black Friday prices that were higher than the regular price. Black Friday announcements with no actual promo of any sort. Announced deals with no stock, and no chance to order at the promo price, and many Promo pricing without listing the regular prices. In these cases, it is anyone’s guess to find out if these bargains are worthwhile.
As every year, I have chosen not to list these dubious offerings in the list below.
!!! Please note that the deals, discounts, and sale prices listed, represent the numbers as they were published by the respective brands and retailers at the time of writing. Keep in mind that a brand or reseller may modify the duration of the sale, its products, its prices, and stock. So make sure to double-check the availability and pricing.
If more Black Friday deals pop up during this week, I will update the list accordingly. Should you come across some interesting deals, please share it in the comments.
