Studio 397 has deployed the July 2022 Release Candidate update for the rFactor 2 racing Simulator.

Studio 397 released the first of a series of scheduled upgrades to some of the legacy Factor 2 content.

Studio 397 revealed the five-round schedule of the 2022/2023 Le Mans Virtual Series, and with it announced the debut of the Bahrain International Circuit for Factor 2.

Studio 397 released the May 2022 Q2 Content update for rFactor 2, including a healthy collection of fixes, improvements, and new features, alongside some exciting new content. 

While the May 2022 Q2 Content Drop for rFactor 2 will add a number of new cars and tracks, the development team has also been working on the details features, and bling of the main game code.

Studio 397 announced that rFactor 2 will receive an entirely new sound engine which is purpose build for the racing simulation.

Today Marcel Offermans, who is the managing Director at Studio 397 officially announced that he is leaving the software studio he founded and will move on to a new adventure exploring new challenges.

As part of the May 2022 Q2 Content Drop, Factor 2 will be expanded with another North American racing circuit in the form of the famous Laguna Seca Raceway.

Studio 397 proudly announced that several British Touring Car Championship cars will be coming to the Factor 2 racing simulator.

Alongside the popular British Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit Studio 397 will also release the Brands Hatch circuit as part of the May Q2 content drop.
