Classic Race Simulators – Full-Size Late 1980’s Racing Simulator
Alastair McLeod of Classic Race Simulators posted some WIP preview pictures of their latest racing simulator cockpit build. And what a beauty it has become.
The Classic Race Simulators team was approached by a client who initially wanted a cockpit only late 1980’s tribute simulator in red and white. When he saw the Full-size 1960’s simulator he asked them to build the whole car.
This body is the basic shape for cars of this era and can be modified to the customer’s requirements. Classic Race Simulators only plan to make 10 more of these as production is limited to one per month. The team is aiming for a February 2020 delivery.
For now, just the suspension and wheels have to be fitted. We will keep you posted when more media becomes available.
Classic Race Simulators are based in Surrey in the South East of England. The simulators are hand-built and are full size, fiberglass body tubs, modeled after the iconic racing cars from the past. While they are actually cockpits for driving simulators, some clients called t the ultimate in Retro Automotive Art. You can hire or purchase their replica racing car cockpits for your event, or living room.
Besides the Lotus 18, Classic Race Simulators also provide cockpit replicas of the Lotus 49, GOLD LEAF Lotus, Honda RA300, Ferrari 312 and Eagle Mk1 racers. For the classic sports prototype fans, CRS has also created a 1975 Chevron B31 replica cockpit.
