Codemasters Announce Dirt 5

In a recent Tweet, Codemasters had teased that they are working on a new chapter of the Dirt franchise adventure and that it would be something entirely different.

And now it all becomes clear. During Microsoft’s Inside Xbox event, Codemasters officially announced Dirt 5. And it is indeed a Dirt title, but not as we know it.

The new Dirt game the player will travel the globe, driving a selection of cool, yet somewhat unusual off-road vehicles from rally icons to trucks, to GT cars. Codemasters promises plenty of new features such as Career mode, four-player split-screen, innovative online modes, livery editor, and more. On the next-gen consoles, players will be able to choose between 4K @60 FPS and even a 120 FPS option.

DIRT 5 will be available on PC, current-gen and next-gen consoles for Xbox and PlayStation in October 2020, and for Google Stadia in early 2021.

PC Users can already Pre-order Dirt 5 via Steam for 54,99€ or go for the special Amplified Edition at a Pre-order price of 74,99€. Those who Pre-order Dirt 5 will receive the Ford F-150 Raptor PreRunner by Deberti Design.

The Amplified edition will feature three ready-to-race cars in their garage (Ariel Nomad Tactical, Audi TT Safari, VW Beetle Rallycross), as well as three new player sponsors with fresh objectives, rewards, and liveries – along with boosts to currency and XP earnings.

Furthermore, Amplified users will be able to play the title three days early and get access to every single post-launch addition to DIRT 5, including a minimum of 12 cars, 60 Career events, new player sponsors with fresh rewards and liveries, and more items for features yet to be revealed…
