Codemasters announced F1 2014 and F1 2015

Codemasters announced that they are working on two new two new Formula 1 titles. basically, an old gen and a new gen game.

The old Gen F1 2014 is going to be released in Europe on October 17th and in North America on the 21st for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The Codemasters development team is recreating all of this year’s technical and sports rules, including the new turbocharged cars, new circuits such as Russia and Austria and all the driver moves.

The games will feature a driver evaluation system that will be able to tunes the game settings to your skill level. The game will also feature a shorter career mode and a so called “Very Easy mode”. You will of course be able to customize the settings and turn off all the assists.

Stephen Hood said:  “There’s been a dramatic shift in the sport, the largest shake up in the rules and regulations for a very long time and the new power units provide a very different kind of challenge, for both driver and team. By delivering all of these changes, F1 2014 will make for an exciting and refreshingly different experience. Additionally, with the new driver evaluation system analyzing each player’s skill level and suggesting appropriate game settings, plus re-graded difficulty levels including a brand new Very Easy setting, we aim to deliver a thoroughly rewarding F1 experience for players of all abilities, from the novice to the seasoned pro.”

For the new-gen part of the announcement, Codemasters states that they are planning to release their first title on new-generation platforms in 2015. This release is supposed to change the way we look at a Formula One game. F1 2015 will feature improved graphics, better physics and a better audio engine. F1 2015 will launch earlier in the Formula One season and will then then receive updates bringing 2015 content into the game. F1 2015 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
