Codemasters F1 2015 Game – More previews and covers
A new set of preview screens of the upcoming Codemasters F1 2015 game appeared on the web. The title is set to be released on June 12 of this year on the PC, Playstation 4 & Xbox One.
For Codemasters, the new hardware platforms, also create the opportunity to improve both the physical and graphical aspects of the new installment of the F1 Series game. The developer is now using an updated version of its in-house EGO3 engine to power the game. This has lead to an improved physics and tire model and enhanced force feedback while the game should now run smooth on higher screen resolutions.
Codemasters also revealed the Cover Art for the available platforms.
Lead game designer “Lee Mather” tweeted that the F1 2015 game will run in 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One and should get very, very close to 60fps on both platforms. With a final few months to go, the development team is confident that with some last optimizations they will hit a solid 60 frames on both console platforms. It is obvious that the frame rate for PC users will heavily depend on the hardware used.
F1 2015 will include the 2014 F1 grid, and the 2015 grid as it lined up in Melbourne, with the Manor F1 team being added later.
