Digital Foundry Tech Analysis: Graphics – GT Sport vs Forza Motorsport 7
Recently two of the console racing heavyweights have been released. Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo Sport for the PS4 and Turn 10 Studios Forza Motorsport 7 for the Xbox One can be considered the best selling racing games on the named platforms. While both titles are marketed as driving simulators, we rather put them in the racing game category.
We feel that for sim racers using the named consoles, Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa and the recently released Project CARS 2 by Slightly Mad Studios are still the titles with the highest Sim Racing value.
That said. Console sales are often driven by the amount of eye-candy a title can pump out. With their latest iterations, both franchises have considerably raised the bar of their visual fidelity. It is safe to say that GT Sport and Forza 7 are two of the most gorgeous looking racing titles currently on the market.
But how do they compare?
In his latest comparison video, John Linneman from Digital Foundry (Eurogamer) tries to find out how the two new console racing games compare graphically. During his in-depth analysis, John showcases and debates the technology similarities and differences between Polyphony Digital and Turn 10 Studios latest creations.
