Direct Drive Life – A Look At The Gran Turismo Sport Beta
James High of Direct Drive Life, takes an in-depth look at the Gran Turismo Sport Beta.
The Gran Turismo series by Polyphony Digital has always been a very accessible racing game/sim genre. During this Talk & Drive session, James checks out the Controls and Physics in the Gran Turismo Sport Beta and goes into detail on why Gran Turismo has always been the easiest sim to drive on with a game controller.
James said, Though a wheel is always preferred, there’s something to be said about a game that enables a player to drive smoothly near the limit with just a few thumbsticks and buttons…
As a bonus, James recorded 10 minutes of GT Sport external camera replay footage which is showcased when the game is idling in Menu mode.
Gran Turismo Sport will be a new iteration of the world-renown racing simulation franchise. The game is currently in development as a VR-compatible racing game and will be the first console racing title to feature online competitions sanctioned by the FIA (Federation International Automobile). The game will feature +-140 premium cars and 19 locations featuring 27 layouts.
Gran Turismo Sport was first scheduled to be released late 2016 but was later on delayed to ensure the game’s quality. GT Sport will become available exclusively on the PS4 and PS4 Pro on a yet to be confirmed release date, hopefully later this year.
