Dirt 5 Release Postponed Until November
The DIRT 5 game by Codemasters was initially scheduled to become available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 on October 9th. In August, Codemasters announced that they were going to delay the release of the off-road racer to the 16th of October.
However, Codemasters now communicated that they will once more postpone the Dirt 5 release date to November 6, 2020. The exact reason for the delay has not been communicated, but Codemasters did hint that this delay would enable them to release all versions of the game, including the next-gen console releases, in a shorter timeframe.
As things stand now, the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions will become available on November 6, 2020. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions might become available around the same time depending on the new console launches. The Google Stadia release remains planned for early 2021.
The new Dirt game the player will travel the globe, driving a selection of cool, yet somewhat unusual off-road vehicles from rally icons to trucks, to GT cars. Codemasters promises plenty of new features such as Career mode, four-player split-screen, innovative online modes, livery editor, and more. On the next-gen consoles, players will be able to choose between 4K @60 FPS and even a 120 FPS option.
