A full-motion simulator is probably the most desirable piece of kit on the wishlist of many hardcore sim racers in their everlasting search for more immersion. Brands such as SimXperience and CXC Simulations have revolutionized the design and introduced the personal seat mover Motion Racing Simulator to both the home user and professional. These days, also full chassis motion systems are going down in price, but usually still, cost an arm and a leg.

Nevertheless, whilst no motion simulation system can be considered inexpensive, some brands offer a setup that is within a lower budget home user’s reach. One of those companies is DOF Reality. They offer a 6-DOF Consumer Motion simulator for a very affordable price. But is it any good? Barry puts the rig trough the famous SRG review process and shares his thoughts.

 

The DOF Reality H6 Consumer Motion simulator platform delivers all six Degrees Of Freedom movements (forward, backward, surge, side to side, sway, up, down, heave, yaw, pitch, and roll). This unique platform is capable to reproduce any possible motion.

There is no other product on the market under $15,000 that can do what our platform does. The H6 model is designed to move not only the seat but, all simulator controls (steering wheel, joystick, pedals, throttles, etc.) mounted to the motion platform. When you move, everything moves with you!

The motion simulator Platform is compatible with any existing VR systems (Google Daydream View, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive + Pro, and Sony PlayStation VR) as well as upcoming VR systems. It can also deliver vibrating feedback to simulate road texture, gear changes, collisions, and contact via Buttkicker Bass shaker(s) or other add-ons.
