EA Sports and Codemasters have announced that in June 2024, from Version 1.9.0 onwards, they will introduce an anti-cheat to the EA SPORTS WRC title.
With EA anticheat EA has full stack ownership of the security and privacy posture, enabling them to fix security issues as soon as they may arise. The anti-cheat will be used on the PC versions of EA SPORTS WRC, and will not be required on Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5 versions of the game, which are protected by already existing anti-cheat and anti-tamper solutions.
The EA anti-cheat will only run when a game with EA anti-cheat protection is running, and the anti-cheat processes will shut down when the game does.
