The Extra Mile – SimRig Mega Build Phase 1 – Part 2
Last week we started to follow the adventures of Alex from the Extra Mile Youtube channel. Avid sim racer Alex in is the process of adding a full-size real world dashboard to his existing racing rig.
It did not take long before Alex started to turn his plan into something solid. He ordered a BMW E46 dashboard, steering rim, center console unit and some more needed parts from the local junk yard and rolled up his sleeves.
A few days ago, we covered Part-1 of the SimRig Mega Build docu-video series. Today we show you the next three video’s in which Alex shows us the progress of the dash build, the new chassis, and the first BMW wheel test.
Alex already hinted that once the cockpit build is finished, he will move over to phase 2 of his dream. While he did not specifically mention it, it is clear that the Mega Build Sim Rig will receive some motion actuators. As usual, we will keep on following the progress of the build, once more videos are published.
