F1 2017 – Introducing the 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6
In the upcoming Codemasters F1 2017 game, classic F1 cars are making their glorious return to the series.
Up until now, Codemasters already revealed three classic Formula One cars. The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 (as driven by Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna), the 1992 Williams FW14B (raced by Nigel Mansell and Riccardo Patrese), and 2002 Ferrari piloted by Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher). In the 2010 Formula One Word Championship, the Red Bull Racing RB6 was driven by Sebastian Vettel and team-mate Mark Webber. The Rb6 or “Luscious Liz” as named by Sebastian Vettel won the first of four consecutive World Constructors’ Championships for Red Bull Racing after it blatantly dominated the season with 15 pole positions and nine race wins.
The car was designed by Red Bill’s Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey, Chief Designer Rob Marshall and Head of Aerodynamics Peter Prodromou. It was powered by a 2,400 cc naturally aspirated Renault RS27-2010 V8 engine.
F1 2017 will feature twelve classic F1 cars in total. With four cars revealed, we still have eight surprises waiting for us. The 1988 McLaren MP4/4 will be exclusively reserved for pre-order or pick up Day One copies of the F1 2017 Special Edition. For other customers, the McLaren MP4/4 will be available to be purchased at a later date. The other eleven classic F1 cars will be available in every version of the game.
F1 2017 the game will feature all the rules, cars, teams, and drivers of the Formula One World Championship but will also let you drive some of the most iconic historic cars ever raced in Formula 1, The full list of the included classic F1’s will be revealed in the coming weeks. Furthermore, the game will feature an enhanced career mode, numerous multiplayer improvements, a brand new ‘Championships’ game modes.The included classic cars will be available to play in several modes, including online multiplayer and time trials.
F1 2017 will be available on 25 August 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC via both DVD and Steam. Codemasters also confirmed that there will be an optional Special Edition release, but did not yet reveal any details regarding its content.
