F1 2020 – First Look At The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

Two weeks ago, Codemasters officially announced the F1 2020 FIA Formula 1 World Championship game.

Besides new features such as My Team, Two-player split-screen, Three career lengths, and more customizable settings, the upcoming new iteration of the official FIA Formula 1 game will also include two tracks that are new on the calendar. The Vietnamese Hanoi Circuit and the Dutch Circuit Zandvoort.

In the latest F1 2020 preview video Codemasters showcases the virtual Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with an in-game lap onboard the McLaren of Carlos Sainz.


The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a motorsport racing track in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain. Until 2013 the track was known as the Circuit de Catalunya before a sponsorship deal with Barcelona City Council added Barcelona to the track’s title.

The 4.655 km (2.892 mi) long track features 16 corners and some pretty long straights making it an all-rounder circuit. The track has grandstands with a capacity of 140,700. Besides the GP layout, the FIA Grade 1 Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya also features a 4.627 km (2.875 mi) Motorcycle layout.


Fans of the F1 Series of games should take note that this weekend the Spanish Virtual Grand Prix, using F1 2019 will be streamed live.

F1 2020 will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on Friday 10th July 2020.
