EA Sports and Codemasters have published the first of three F1 22 Developer Deep-Dive Videos. In this first episode, we can get an insight into the changes being made to the physics and handling model in F1 22.
In a 23-minute video, senior game designer David Greco explains in detail, some of the motivations behind the updated game design and physics changes within F1 22.
With the new technical regulations having a massive effect on the design of the 2022 F1 cars, the developer mainly focussed on improving the suspension and collision models and revised the aerodynamics code. Furthermore, it is stated that due to the Improved suspension model for F1 22, also the Force Feedback will feel better and more accurate in comparison to its predecessor.
The upcoming episodes 2 and 3 of this Developer Deep Dive series will cover “VR and New Features”, and “Audio and Music”.
The latest edition of the official Formula One World Championship game franchise, now named F1 22 will be released worldwide on July 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the EA App, Origin, Steam, and Epic Store.
Players who pre-ordered the Deluxe Champions Edition will have access three days earlier, on June 28.
