Fan-Made Cinematic Video – iRacing BMW M4 GT4 at Belle Isle | By StabiZ
Long-term Bsimracing visitors know I am a big fan of sim racing related cinematic trailers. Back in the day, talented community members such as StabiZ, JonZ, BsNismo, 6e66o, TXConn, and more, pumped out a number of very inspiring fan-made masterpieces, showcasing our hobby and the various simulator and racing games in all its glory.
Sadly enough, it seems that the community has now somewhat forgotten the art of making a quality sim racing video trailer. Maybe due to the popularity of streaming, and the fact that creating a quality cinematic trailer takes a lot of skill, time, and effort, we have seen the handcrafted video disappear from the scene.
Therefore I was delighted to find a brand new community masterpiece by StabiZ, paying tribute to iRacing with an awesome video showcasing the virtual BMW M4 GT4 in action at the Detroit Belle Isle Street circuit.
Enjoy.
The BMW M4 GT4 racecar campaigns in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in the United States, as well as a number of other sports car series around the world. It made its debut in the hands of customer teams in 2018. That same year, the Professional MotorSport World Expo Awards nominated it for its Race Car of the Year award.
Last season, the car won the GT4 class of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia and 24H Series. It also earned the 2019 team title in ADAC GT4 Germany. The car also gained additional fame in the movie The Art of Racing in the Rain as the car raced by protagonist Denny Swift, portrayed by actor Milo Ventimiglia.
Located on Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan, this temporary street circuit winds through Belle Isle Park and has 14 corners at 2.360 miles / 3.798 km in length.
